These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Book Reading Light application ("the App") published by Bulpara Teknoloji Limited Sirketi ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service Description
Book Reading Light is an iOS application that turns your iPhone screen into a warm, adjustable reading lamp. Features include adjustable color temperature (warm amber to cool white), brightness control, sleep timer with gentle fade-out, reading session tracking and streaks, custom light presets, and screen lock mode.
2. Important Limitations
The App is a screen-based reading light for general use. You understand and agree that:
- The App uses your device screen as a light source and is not a replacement for proper room lighting or professional reading lamps.
- Reading session tracking is based on app usage time and may not reflect actual reading activity.
- The App is not a medical device and makes no health claims regarding eye care or sleep quality.
- Battery consumption varies by device, brightness level, and session duration.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the App only for lawful purposes. You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the App
- Attempt to circumvent subscription restrictions or free tier limitations
- Use the App in any manner that could damage or overburden our services
4. Subscriptions & Billing
- Free tier: Available at no cost with full reading light functionality, sleep timer, 4 built-in + 3 custom presets, and today's reading stats.
- Premium Monthly: $1.99/month for unlimited presets, full stats history, screen lock, fade-out timer, and zero ads.
- Premium Annual: $9.99/year (save 58%) with a 7-day free trial.
- Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store and are subject to Apple's Terms of Service.
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice.
5. User Data
Reading sessions, light presets, and preferences are stored locally on your device. You retain full control over your data. We do not access, collect, or store your data on any server.
6. Intellectual Property
The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Bulpara Teknoloji Limited Sirketi and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for its intended purpose.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE ERROR-FREE OR UNINTERRUPTED.
8. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BULPARA TEKNOLOJI LIMITED SIRKETI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
- Battery drain or device impact from extended use
- Inaccurate reading session tracking
- Service interruptions or data loss
- Sleep quality or eye strain claims
9. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bulpara Teknoloji Limited Sirketi from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the business.
11. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to its conflict of laws provisions.
